Rain Couldn’t Stop the First Eco Active Hours at Sherwood Hills

Some mornings are remembered not because the sun was shining, but because everyone chose to show up anyway.

The launch of Eco Active Hours at Sherwood Hills was greeted by more than just eager runners and fitness enthusiasts—it was welcomed by heavy rain. As participants prepared for the warm-up, the skies opened. The rain eased, then poured again. But instead of sending everyone home, it sparked something even greater: the determination to keep moving.

And so, the run continued.

Participants conquered the scenic 5-kilometer route, taking in Sherwood Hills’ lush surroundings as they covered the 2.5-kilometer stretch to the turnaround point and back. What could have been a rainy setback became one of the most memorable community runs yet, proving that a little rain only makes great moments even more unforgettable.

The energy didn’t stop at the finish line. The celebration continued with an exciting Zumba session and a vibrant lineup of community booths during the NutriKalikasan Community Nature Walk/Run, organized by the City Government of Trece Martires through the City Nutrition Committee, in partnership with the 13 Martires Community Milers, in celebration of the 52nd National Nutrition Month with the theme, “Nutrisyon at Kalikasan, Ating Pangalagaan!”

Visitors enjoyed free arroz caldo from the Nutreceno HAPAG Pantry Booth, fresh vegetables from the Office of the Agriculturist, and eco-friendly products made from recycled materials showcased by the CENRO Booth. Our team also joined the celebration by giving away free bananas and taho, hosting fun games with prizes such as tumblers, pens, and handheld fans, while introducing guests to Prana Garden Villas, the wellness-inspired residential community within Sherwood Hills.

This was more than just a run—it was a celebration of health, nature, and community. And if this first gathering is any indication, it’s only the beginning of many more memorable moments at Sherwood Hills.

Would you join the next Eco Active Hours? We’d love to see you on the trail, running, walking, cycling, or simply enjoying the community with us. See you at Sherwood Hills!
